Companion Program

The host jurisdiction is pleased to organize a formal companion’s program this year. For a nominal fee, companions can expect sightseeing and excursions where they will experience Québec City and area first hand, including markets and shops as well other tourist destinations. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore ‘La Belle Province’!

Cancellation Policy

• Refund requests must be made in writing by the dates specified.
• Full refunds of registration fees issued until April 11.
• Refunds of 50% issued until May 4; refunds will not be issued after May 4.

DISCOVER QUEBEC CITY: A self-guided tour

Registered Companions are invited to take part in an informal “Meet & Greet” the morning of June 3rd, where they will be introduced to other companion program registrants and have an opportunity to learn about local attractions. Maps, suggested activities and general information about the city and sights will be available to companions. A representative from Québec Tourism will be on hand to answer questions and assist with planning your self-guided tour of the historic Québec City.

Discover Québec City from a new perspective…
Accompanied by a professional tour guide, you will walk down to Place Royale and the lively section of the Old Port.

Today you will see the city of Québec, the St. Lawrence River and their history from a whole new angle! Join a famous explorer on this cruise aboard the M/V Louis Jolliet for fascinating anecdotes and a fresh look at history and geography. Along with your tour guide, discover the bucolic charm of the Orleans Island; admire Montmorency Falls, the highest waterfall in Eastern Canada; view the port installations on both shores of the St. Lawrence River and cruise beneath the prestigious Château Frontenac perched atop Cap Diamant, with the majestic Laurentian Mountains in the background. What a lovely cruise!

In order to get a complete immersion in Québec’s culture, you will be introduced to a small haven of fresh and specialized products only minutes away from the heart of our city. You will set out on the ‘’road of all flavours’’ (la route des saveurs). This route was given that name because of the rich history and culture that can be discovered and explored along the way.

Bilodeau Cider House ("Cidrerie Bilodeau")

Tuesday cider house The Bilodeau Cider House is specialised in miniature and semi-miniature apple trees. The family-owned orchard of over 3000 trees and has mastered since 1982 the art of Ice Cider, re-establishing the popularity of this amazing and well-adapted fruit. They have recently been awarded for their 2015 edition of ‘’ Beverage of the Gods’’ (Le breuvage des dieux).

What is included: Visit of the Cidrerie with the explanations and interpretation of the apple cider and by-products followed by a tasting of 5 different products and apple butter.


Cassis Monna & Filles

Synonym of passion and innovation since 1992, the company has mastered the art of transforming black currant – harvested on the Île d’Orléans – into products of the highest quality, including a crème de cassis that earned various awards.

What is included: A guided tour of the installation, 4 blackcurrant alcohols and homemade sangria.


Vignoble de Sainte-Pétronille

Discover and taste the richness of Sainte-Pétronille’s products. Share a moment with the owners of this fabulous vineyard that faces the Montmorency Falls, adding to the already perfect scenery. White, red, grape Mistelle and ice wine are available for tasting.

What is included: A guided tour of the site, visit of the processing facilities, explanations of the equipment and processes of winemaking. The wine tasting includes: 2 glasses of wine (1.5 oz) + 1 tasting glass of Late Harvest (1.5 oz.) Served with cheese platers and bread.
