Event Description: DROP IT AND DRIVE HONOURS ROAD CRASH VICTIMS ON NOV 29TH WITH CHARITY
EVENT AT SULLIVAN HEIGHTS SECONDARY SCHOOL
In support of Canada’s National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims (Nov. 23rd), Drop It And
Drive is hosting the first annual ‘Show You Care With Coats’ charity event. The event is supported by
Surrey Fire Fighter’s, IAFF Local 1271, the Surrey RCMP, Young Drivers of Canada and Klein Lyons.
Members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend this important event.
Drop It And Drive is seeking donations of new or gently used winter coats to represent and honour
lives lost in British Columbia due to preventable road crashes. Our charities of choice are the Surrey
Urban Mission and The Front Room (South Fraser Community Services Society) with non-perishable
food donations for the Surrey Food Bank.

À l’appui de la Journée nationale du souvenir des victimes de la route, le Diocèse de Gatineau organise une marche silencieuse et une prière au Parc de la Gatineau (Chemin Notch jonction Chemin de la Mine), le jeudi 24 novembre 2011. Tout le monde est invité à cet important événement et encouragé à y participer.
